CRA manages an acclaimed occupational health program for Chrysler, LLC’s, 26 North American production plants. Beginning in 1998, our services have enabled Chrysler to increase productivity and saved money for both the company and its workers. By 2004 we were able to report:

  • A reduction of 19% in selected Workers Compensation costs
  • Identification and correction of more than 800 ergonomic problems
  • A 20% drop in lost work days and workplace medical restrictions
  • A record of 98.5% compliance in medical surveillance examinations.

Our forward-looking approach to occupational health focuses on prevention. We pride ourselves on offering an array of medical certifications and health awareness classes. Our occupational health physicians and nurses work closely with manufacturing, safety, ergonomics, placement, and disability management to identify and remedy potential health risks.

In addition to staffing and managing a comprehensive, consistent occupational health program designed specifically for auto workers, we advise Chrysler in renovating medical units, updating formularies, and establishing links with the allied areas of safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and Workers Compensation management.

CRA’s plant medical department at Chrysler’s Belvidere, Michigan, plant became the first auto industry recipient of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s Corporate Health Achievement Award.
